Fast service, but no veggies on the sandwiches, and lots of gristly meat. Did not enjoy.

A great tasty snack. I love the watermelon juice and other items that you usually only find in Chinatown. It's hard to make a meal out of these buns. I'm usually left wanting more, but that's not really a bad thing. I only wish they were open later.

This is the only place on the Upper East Side/East Midtown that has steamed buns. Their Chinese sandwiches are delicious!

I ordered a shredded beef pancake roll and a combo box w/1 classic pork bun and 1 egg+sausage. The only highlight was the carrot and ginger salad dressing and the mini salad greens. The bread is far too dense and heavy, completely unlike the type of dough normally used to make mantao (man tou). The pork in the pork bun was dry except for a small strip of gelatinous and delicious fat at one end of one piece of pork. The shredded beef rollup was dainty, closer to a up-sized taquito than a down-sized burrito. The beef in it was dry, the pancake was overly thick compared to the similar authentic Chinese offerings though the taste of the pancake was fine. Lastly, the sausage & egg bun came with no sausage! I didn't even smell when I opened the little package that the bun was in, took a bite just in case it came in another form, opened it up to investigate even. I called Mantao immediately afterwards (8:53pm) to complain and they offered to send a corrected sandwich out which would take twenty minutes. However, I am writing this at 9:48pm and have yet to hear my buzzer or my phone go off. Given the quality of the food and the lack of attention to detail over what I feel should be a simple order given the type of food they are serving, I will not order from Mantao again, either in person or for delivery.
